Helen Russell
Hi, my name’s Helen. I am Lancaster born and bred! I have been a member of St Thomas’s for 21 years and have been involved in Junior Church for 9 of those. I work on the Education Team at Beaumont College in Lancaster – a specialist college for young adults with a wide range of disabilities. Primarily, I work in the Environmental Art Department and run the John Muir Award – an outdoor ed / conservation award.
I passionately believe that disabled young people should have the chance to engage in the experiences that normal children take for granted.
For this reason, and because I feel that this is what God has called me to do, I am working with Nicola Anderson to take a group of her children on holiday in August 2013.
